Being from New England (born in Maine, lived most of my adult life in Vermont and New Hampshire) Rainman really accelerated
his hiking on the AT in 89, then again in 92 and the PCT in 96 and lots of hiking on the Long Trail and in the Himalayas of
Nepal.
Saving the CDT for the final of the "Triple Crown" has been my dream for a good portion of the last
2 decades. Now it is time to transform dreams into reality. As his old boss says: "hike now... work later". Thanks Ron.
He fully
intends to enjoy every day on top of the Rockies and experience life as good as it gets.
Fortunate enough to have grown up in Chocorua New Hampshire, were the most photographed
mountain in the world sits, and having been raised by parents who believed the best education was to travel and learn first
hand, Vicki has always wanted to see the world. Having lived in New Hampshire, Kansas, Hawaii, Arizona and Maine over
the last 40 something years, Mt. Chocorua always calls her back to New Hampshire. All that is left to see on American soil
is the great Northwest. Two of the states Wyoming and Montana, will be completed on the CDT. This
will be Vicki's first long distance hike although she is one cool chick having worked in an organic restaurant/cafe in
New England, Walking happens to be one of her favorite things in life. Will she get enough of it? Good Luck Vicki and HAVE
